6 SUMMARY An Mpg, torsionally rigid connection (23) passes from a water turbine (1) with generator placed in flowing water to a vessel or a fixed point. The rigid, torsionally rigid connection prevents the housing (7) of the water turbine from rotating at the same time as the turbine can adjust itself in the direction of the water flow.

File name: Connection of water turbine.doc Applicant and inventor: Tore Forsgren, Polhemsgatan 11, 6th floor, 112 36 STOCKHOLM CONNECTION OF WATER TURBINE TO BATSKROV OR A FIXED POINT TECHNICAL FIELD This invention relates generally to a connection of one to a water turbine suitable body, which can be considered as its fixed, atnninstone what grid rotation, in relation to the water turbine, as a bat, especially a bat hull, for example in a bat without its own engine as a sailboat, or to a fixed point, as a solid body or eft solid form placed in or near flowing water.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION When generating renewable electrical energy for sailboats, the most common energy sources are solar cells, wind turbines or water turbines. A common type of water turbine comprises a rotor with turbine blades, called a propeller, which is fixed axially to the spirit of a line which is forced to rotate by the propeller, and also an electric generator arranged at the other end of the line on the Paten, the axis is brought into rotation by the line. Della brought with it a number of problems in the event that the electric generator is mounted at a frequent height. In order not to lift the propeller out of the water, a line of considerable length is required, which cla can be fitted by other boats. Furthermore, the line can sink and thereby get stuck in the sea or seabed, especially when the water changes course. The rotating line is easily twisted and can then get knots, especially at higher rotational speeds and aft winds, as the propeller is sometimes pulled out of the water, and the torsional energy and elasticity of the line can then cause the propeller to become entangled in the line. The rotating line is also an answer to handle, if it is to be taken in by hand while it is rotating. Other solutions with propeller with shaft and some type of transmission and electric generator mounted at the stern of 'Paten demands that it is possible to find a landable surface for attachment to the stern of the sailboat. Sailboats have great variation in the design of the stern and the surfaces that are possible for attachment and conveniently placed are often curved and inclined depending on the design, both negatively and positively in relation to the water surface. In addition, there are also often other space-demanding fittings for stern spinners, bathing ladders, lifebuoys, etc. that prevent the installation of the attachment. The use of a water turbine can also be something like Ors with necessity, but sallan, for which major interventions such as large 'patens appearance permanently are usually not justified. There is a need for a device that can be attached to small surfaces with varying inclination and of varying shape, while at the same time an electric generator and water turbine can be kept close to the vessel and follow the water flow. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention generally relates to a flexible and torsionally rigid connection from any suitable body or surface, for example a fixed body or a watercraft, to a water turbine, which is mounted in and supported by flowing water. The connection may in particular comprise a durable tube for electrical conductors from the electric generator, where the tube is designed so that its flexibility allows the water turbine to tune in the direction of the water flow, but at the same time prevents the rotation of the generator housing. In general, the mechanical connection between the water turbine and the watercraft resp. the solid body comprises a flexible, torsionally rigid and hollow member which is suitably elongate and may generally be in the form of a tube or hose which may be waterproof or water permeable.
The water turbine can be directly connected to an integrated electric generator located in the same housing as the turbine.
The device proposed has thus comprised a flexible, especially an extremely flexible but torsionally rigid connection, such as a hose or solid body, one end of which is fixed to the watercraft or generally in an anchorage in or near flowing water and the other end of which is fixed at a propeller turbine, which may be integrated with an electric generator. The hose or body may consist of a sheath with a crimped hub, such as textile or metal, which gives it its torsional rigidity while being flexible. In the hollowness of the hose, conductors from the generator can be drawn to the vessel or anchorage and on to some external electrical system. Such a hollow can also serve for pressure equalization and said that the indication of any condensation in the generator housing is not trapped in a closed space but is led out to the vessel or the anchorage.
An alternative use of the device is that a rotating so-called "flexible shaft" can leave the turbine through the cavity and that the generator is then separated from the turbine and instead is located in the vessel or at the anchorage of the vessel.
It has proposed connection of a water turbine may allow that the attachment of the connection in a vessel or at a fixed point requires a relatively small area, such as an area with a maximum diameter of 5 - 10 cm, and that the attachment also does not require the inclination at the surface of the vessel or the fixed point where the attachment is located.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention is described in detail below in the form of non-limiting examples, also illustrated in the figures on the accompanying drawing sheets, where: Figs. 1 and 2 are perspective views of a water turbine with flexible connection, Fig. 3 is a detail view in perspective of a turbine and generator housings of the water turbine of Figs. 1 and 2, and Fig. 4 is a perspective view of an embodiment of the connecting flap of the flexible connection at a fixed surface or a surface of a boat hull.
DESCRIPTION OF EXEMPLARY EMBODIMENTS Figs. 1 and 2 show a water turbine 1 intended to be immersed in flowing water and made to rotate and generate electric current. The water turbine comprises, see the detail view in Fig. 3, a propeller 3 with rotor blade 5 arranged to rotate in a turbine and generator housing 7, which may have a substantially cylindrical shape and have a longitudinal or axial direction with a front end and a rear end . The anterior spirit is intended to be coated upstream of the posterior spirit. The propeller is located at the rear end of the housing and is directly connected to the rotor 9 of an electric generator 11 as in that the axis of the propeller is common to the axis of the generator 13. The generator has a stator 15 fixedly connected to the turbine and generator housing 7. Axes 13 are arranged to rotate freely in the housing by means of bearings 17, 19. The electric generator is electrically connected by means of lines 21, which emanate from the front end of the turbine and generator housing 7.
The water turbine 1 is mechanically connected to a suitable body or surface, not shown, by means of a flexible connection. The flexible connection can be constituted by a hollow flexible rudder 23 designed, so that its flexibility allows the turbine and generator housing 7 to settle with its longitudinal or axial direction in the direction of the water flow, but so that the rotation of the turbine and generator housing is prevented at the same time. Inside the flexible tube, the electrical conductors 21 may be located. The flexible tube 23 is rigidly attached at one end to the front end of the turbine and generator housing 7 and rigidly attached at its other end to the above-mentioned body or surface.
The flexible tube 23, which can also be generally referred to as a hose or an elongated, hollow body with flexibility in its longitudinal direction, may for example comprise a sheath with a crossed hub, which gives it a considerable and sufficient torsional rigidity at the same time as it is Mpg. Thus, some hydraulic hoses may be suitable for use. In the hollow of the hose, conductors from the generator can be drawn to the vessel or fixture and on to an external electrical system. The interior of the flexible pipe 23 can also function for ventilation of the interior of the turbine and generator housing 7 for pressure equalization and so that water vapor from any condensation in the housing can be diverted, provided that the flexible pipe is waterproof and is waterproof attached at least to the water turbine 1. Fig. 4 shows how the flexible connection 23 can be fixed to a lamp surface 25 at a fixed anchorage or a boat hull. At the surface a sub-dangerous nipple 27 is fixed by means of a ring 29, which is pressed against the surface 25 by screws 31. The nipple can then be installed at an angular angle in relation to the surface 25. A flange nut 33 sits at the end of the flexible connection and is screwed on nipple 27 free spirit. As a tram * of the figure, a relatively small area is required for the connection to the surface 25, which area may, for example, have a largest diameter of 5-10 cm, or even a maximum of 7.5 cm.
The flexible connection must thus have sufficient flexibility in its longitudinal direction with at the same time have sufficient torsional rigidity, so that the housing 23 of the water turbine does not rotate when immersed in flowing water and the propeller 3 rotates with a certain resistance caused by the magnetic coupling between the stator of the electric generator 11 15 and rotor 9. It is then conceivable that even a non-waterproof connection can be used, for instance formed by hollow metal segments or metal rings connected to each other, not shown. The ventilation of the interior of the housing 7 can then take place through a water-tight pipe, which passes through the interior of the metal segments or metal rings and which can also accommodate the electrical connection cables.
Another possible design is that only the propeller is placed in the water turbine housing while the electric generator is located at the other end of the flexible connection. A rotating so-called "flexible shaft", not shown, of the type used to connect a rotating hand tool to a drive shaft, can then be fixedly connected to the propeller shaft and pass from the water turbine through the interior of a flexible, torsionally rigid rudder. and up to the electric generator, which is thus located at a distance from the water turbine, for example above the water surface, in a watercraft or at the anchorage of the flexible tube at a solid body.
